Vikramaditya Singh is a politician from the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. He is the son of the former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Late. Virbhadra Singh, and is currently a member of the Indian National Congress party. He is also the president of the Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress.

Early Life and Education

Vikramaditya Singh completed his schooling at The Doon School, Dehradun, and went on to study at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He then pursued his Master in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Political Career

Vikramaditya Singh began his political career in 2009 when he contested in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from Kangra constituency, Himachal Pradesh, but was unsuccessful. In the same year, he also unsuccessfully contested in the 2009 Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election from the Palampur constituency.

In 2014, he was appointed as the State President of the Indian Youth Congress in Himachal Pradesh. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he again contested from the Kangra constituency but was unsuccessful.

In 2017, he was appointed as the District President of the Indian National Congress for the district of Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. In the 2017 Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly election he was elected as an MLA from the Palampur constituency.

Vikramaditya Singh’s wife: Vikramaditya Singh was married on 8 March 2019 at the Kanotagarh Palace in Jaipur to Princess Sudarshan Singh of the princely state of Mewar. Please inform that Rajkumari Sudarshan Singh, wife of Vikramaditya Singh, has done MA in Sociology from Sophia College, Mumbai. He has also done a course in interior design. Sudarshan Singh’s early education took place in Udaipur. Singh is originally from Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Vikramaditya was appointed king in 2021 after the death of Virbhadra Singh. Vikramaditya Singh’s mother Rani Pratibha Singh is the president of Himachal Congress. Virbhadra’s wife, Rani Pratibha Singh, defeated the BJP in the second Mandi Lok Sabha election earlier this year.

In the Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022, Vikramaditya Singh won the Shimla Rural seat with a margin of 13,860 votes. And after the election of MLA in November 2022, Shri. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was made the new CM of Himachal Pradesh.
