(B) DIRECT ENTRY: PERMANENT COMMISSION FOR UNDERGRADUATE-LEVEL ENTRY
(i) 10+2(B.Tech)
A four-year B.Tech degree course under the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme is available for unmarried males at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.

Educational Qualification Required:
Having passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examinations from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English.
Candidates who have taken JEE (Main) – 2021 (for B.E/B. Tech). SSB calls will be issued based on NTA’s JEE (Main) – 2021 All India Rank (AIR).

National Defence Academy (Navy) & National Defence Academy (Naval Academy)
UPSC handles this entry with IHQ MoD (Army) / ADG (Recruitment) as the nodal agency. It consists of a written test conducted by UPSC followed by an SSB interview, a medical examination by the Indian Navy (Navy candidates only) and the preparation of a merit list by UPSC. The appointment letters for NDA (Navy and Naval Academy) are issued by IHQ MoD (Army)/ADG (Recruitment) and IHQ MoD/DMPR respectively. The training of officers selected through this entry starts in the month of January/July every year. The advertisement for this entry will be published in June/December. UPSC conducts two NDA exams each year for aspirants between the ages of 16.5 and 19 for admission into NDA and Naval Academy. After graduation, the cadets are commissioned as officers in all branches of the military.
